Just giving the people that are posting the down with the wealthy and give the OH POOR ME's a reason to hate me I guess.
Now that you ask about my point well......
Why is anyone reading this poor? They can read, write and I would think have some computer skill at the very min. No reason to be poor.
Now if they are still young or in school that's different. They are not poor, they have not even started yet.
I find it sad that so many of you agree with income based fines. Why should someone with the talent, intelligence, or initiative to make a high wage be charged more than an idiot for committing the same offense? And where would you stop with that sort of system? Why not make the investment banker that makes 500k per year pay 10X the amount for a #2 at McDonalds than the lazy fekker that sits on his ass reading hustler all day?
And success should not allow one to live "above" the law either. He knew the risk he was taking. Too bad we don't do that here. Then maybe I would get cut off less by the mercedes suv driving housewife.

You're really bitter about not having any money huh? Do mercedes do more damage when they cut you off than an average minivan? You're a communist by the way.

The reason we don't (and won't) do that in the US is because it violates the equality that we strive for. Speeding is speeding. I don't give a rats ass how much or how little a person makes. Rich or poor, if you commit a crime the penalty has to be the same. To do otherwise obviates the incentive to make more money then the mouth-breathing mullet-heads of this world. And I agree with BurlySurly, you are a communist.

Think about it, if that guy has 3 million Euro's in his bank account
Thats
3,000,000
Compared to...
18,000
'bout 1/15
Yes, a pretty big drop in the bucket, but does the millionare care? probably not, he'll just remake that much in a week or two. Who's to say he ONLY has 3m in his account, anyway? Its could be closer to 70 million, in which case, he probably wipes his butt with $50's.
nice angle i guess your a communist too for bringing it up though.
i say all you people who are worried about all this communist talk should just step back and relax, all the rich people who you so care about are being very much coddled by government and judicial systems i assure you..... i'm glad your all sticking up for the underdog though uh euurh i think.....
I think it's a good idea myself. A fine is punishment for exceeding the speed limit. A multi-millionaire could care less about a $200 speeding ticket, but it can hurt the average family man struggling to pay whatever is being paid. And how do you know their high wages have have anything to do with talent, intelligence, or initiative? And someone only making $35k a year is a f*cking moron I suppose...

Must be nice being able to look down on poor people from way up there. I guess you're right, if they're not rich, then they're all lazy, mouth-breathing mullet-head fekkers that sit on their asses reading hustler all day.

Yes, we are communists bomb the **** out of Finland asap . Enough of this communist crap already!! Please tell me how these kind of punishments violate equality? Actually in my mind the finnish system makes people more equal... and mind you speeding isn't really a crime in the right sense of the word, it is just a violation. When you commit a real crime it dosn't matter how rich or poor you are, Y're still getting the same punishment. In the nut shell the finnish income related violation fine system is like Robin Hood - takes away from the rich and gives to the poor. hurraaayy!!!!
