Up sh*t creek, without a paddle
I can't for the life of me remember the guys name, but a dude that lives (lived...) in Ballard went around the world on an old 1100 GS. Through the Sahara and what not....Big coffee table book about it with really nice pics....

I'll have to google it later....I'm lazy.

Ewan McGregor did something similar on BMW's too, him and Martin Borman rode from London to New York. They made it into a tv serries and book called "Long Way Round". :)
