Are high-pressure tires and tubes available for 20" wheels? I rode a mountain bike over the road for a few years with one and it helped my 'milage' considerably.
Well, there are a lot of Junior tires (and tubulars), but they might not fit a BMX wheel.
I am not sure you would enjoy training on a BMX bike. One key to training is long steady distance at a moderate pace, something which you cannot do while pedalling standing up.
Thank you- they're actually going on the front of a tadpole trike that I am building. So I will have gearing in my favour and I'll be lying down, not standing
Yeah, there are a lot of near slick BMX tyres on the market, unfortuantly these days many are quite big and fat, and those thin ones you get for racing which are thin are often knobbly.
You might want to look out for an old (90s) tyre called an ACS RL Edge. Those were thin and light and very slick indeed. They also happily took about 120psi.
