Anyone know if the 2001 Marzocchi Z.1 MCR is adjustable down to 100mm? I assume all I would need is a set of the proper springs, right?

    Thanks.

I'm pretty sure they are, I'm under the impression it was in 02 that Marz changed the topout springs to being inside the cartridge. Only one sure way to find out though, pull it apart ;)

yes you can, you need shortrer main springs and longer negative springs, neg springs are the 50mm ones(30mm longer than yours). not sure how long the main springs are but they will be 30mm shorter than the ones you have.

When you buy a spring kit for a Marzocchi fork, does it include the main springs and negative springs?

I think it was only the '99 and '00 Z1s that were travel adjustable. 2001 was the first year for ECC, and the ECC cart would have to have the same negative spring thing going on, but I don't think it does.

    Well, maybe it's a 2001, because I don't think it has ECC.

i just did it to my Z1 like 30 minutes ago. It's kind of hard to explain, but if you take the lowers off theres seperate springs on the end of the cartridges (only like 20mm) you just take those off and put the lowers back on........
