I have a 2001 Marzocchi z4 air fork that has recently started leaking from between the arch and the lowers (separate pieces) - not on the stantions(sp?) or through the seals. Seems like an odd place for oil to spring forth. I think its still holding air and the fork still seems to work fine. (might be low on oil).

Any body seen this before? Is the fork toast? Or can it be rebuilt? I notice looking at most new Marzocchi forks the arch and lowers are one single piece.

Thanks, Dave

If its not leaking bad then ride it but you should probably get it rebuilt if its bad. I know when i got my 2001 super t rebuilt oil came out of that seam where the 2 met but it wasnt serious or anything. and im pretty sure that the lowers and the arch are just kinda pressed together then held there by the brake bolts.
