I have a '03 Z1 FR on my bike. It only saw about a year's use before the bike got packed away in storage. It's back out now and I want to take it apart, put new oil in it...make sure it's in good shape, etc.

Any advice or can anyone point me to an online resource as to how to do this? I've never taken this fork apart.

Thanks!

Pull out the top caps that are over the crown.
compress a bit the fork, then pull out the springs.
then put the fork upside down to drain the old oil of the stanchions.
then leave it like that a couple of hours to drain well

put the fork back upright and refill with the right amount of fresh 7,5wt fork oil.
insert spings back, trhead the top caps back in and there you go..

Find the oil height for your fork model and year in the marzocchi website.
