I've had a pair of Z1 Dropoff's for over 2 months and still can't get full travel. They've been ridden fairly hard over the 2 months (local freeride and dH, Glentress stuff, Fort Bill DH course) so should be bedded in, but I can't get the last 20mm of travel.

I'm thinking that there's too much oil in them so went to check this out.

Reading the manual, I spotted that something was missing - any reference to oil levels and how to open up the forks/change the oil.

So, anyone a: know how to do this and b: have any ideas why the fork won;t give the full 130mm?

The thought had crossed my mind, but they are definitely set up for 130mm. the amount of slider indicates 130mm travel. I'm just not getting it.

I have a 2004 DO1 with 130mm travel, I get 120mm very hard hits.
I have played with oil height, and to get 120mm I had to loose guite a bit of oil, buty I still don't get 130mm! I have no idea what to do,...might try to get more oil out of it, just to see.

I work at a shop and have cd-rom tech-thing from zocchi, but they only operate with amounts of oil, not mm's from the top to check oil levels. Don't like it one bit...

Apart from that the work works wonders!
