for those of you who have not seen it yet, nsmb.com has a link to the 2005 banshee catalog. the stuff looks good.

my only question is on the geometry of the 2005 scirocco. what the hell is up with the TT length on the large and XL sizes at 27" and 28" respectively? I hope that is a typo. Otherwise people going to start mounting their stems on backwards.

yeh that is for an XL size frame they do make smaller frames you know man. those are for the guys who cant fit onto normal size frames. and its banshee what did you expect. and that is there version of a xc ht so its really no big deal do.

that has got to be a typo. if you look at the frame sizes they have top tube lenghts of 21, 22, and 23 inches for XS, S, and M. They then jump to 27 and 28 inches for the L and XL. Nobody builds frames with that big a jump from the M to the L. The pattern seems to be adding 1 inch of TT for each size up. hell, i doubt anybody makes frames that are 27 or 28 inches for XC use.

it is a typo! i have a 2004 scirocco in XL and the top tube is 24.8 which is really long but for some reason feels really good. i do not feel stretched out on the bike at all. it looks like to me that the bikes have not changed at all for 2005 except for the colors. the only thing that they might have change is the scream to a 150mm rear spacing

i like the color changes for 2005. i also think the morphine looks better. it seems that they decreased the size of the gussets. i might have to get one of those.

i also have a morphine and that is a truthly great bike! i doubt the gussets are smaller though. those same big gussets are what make the bike. it looks beefier than a MAC truck!! get one you will like it

did the bolt shear, because that is the only way you can blame it in the bolt. if it fell out then the rider needs to check his stuff more othen. one thing most any company will tell you is to alway check all the nuts and bolts and to use treadlocker on any one that treads into metal.

Yeah,the mushroom head bolts exploded. Actually, on the side you see in the pic, the bolt exploded, and on the other side the bearing did.

James (the rider) called Banshee and they told him that they had a bad batch of bolts, so there you have it. I'm pretty sure they hooked him up pretty quickly with replacements.

The smaller size bikes have smaller gussetts, the bigger ones have huge ones. Mine is a small and it looks just like the pics, however i did see a large , and they are h u g e !!!
