"holy skyscraper-BB...."

I highly doubt it.
Specialised bike generally have lower than average BB height.
Both my bighits (comp and DH) have really low BBs.
it's about at least 14.5" in the picture. It's not that hard to figure out, from the center of the axle to the edge of the tire is about 13.25" usually.

Actually, I was thinking about the Sawpit's. Have any of you tested these?

I think they are coming up with more flatties-shoes as well.

I think some Euro Magazine - I want to say German - tested the sawpits? I saw it on the internet somewhere - look around. They were a 2004 product also. Looks like an awesome DH/FR clipless shoe to me :thumb:

All the labels are wrong on that link of the complete line. There is no BigHit expert, just a "Bighit FSR." What they call a BigHit expert is really the International BigHit. The Demo 8 Pro is the one with the Fox Fork, and the Demo 8 is the one with the Boxxer. The Demo 9 Pro is the one with the chainguide, and the Demo 9 is the one without it.

I am almost positive the D8 will be available as a frame only however the SX doesn't appear to be. I think it should be though since it is a high-level bike
(you know the pro's will be riding the SX's with custom builds).

I'm gonna try to be smart this time and not throw down the c.card on an impulse buy. After I build up my SX and lose a bunch of races with it I'll start looking at the D8's.

Maybe I'll start hitting the sperm banks now.

The sx with the air shock is available frame only.

Yes but that is a very different bike, the SX Race gets 4.2" with an air shock where the SX trail gets 6.0" with a coil-over. Someone looking to buy the SX trail frame-set is not going to want the SX race as an alternative (most likely)...

mmm road bike vs. an Enduro SX with 6" travel.....

Call BETD and see if they'll "loan" you one. You can explain that you represent a lot of :dancing: 's and that it could possibly increase their N.A. sales........

Ok... they'd call B.S. on that, but hey wouldn't hurt to try.

I want to move to BC!!!
Well, if it is just the link plate then it means high compression to juice out of 1.5" shock 6" of wheel travel
If it means that you need a 2" stroke shock, then it means big cost...
I reckon that for the time beeing 4.5" is ok, the shock and frame is practically still new...
Having said that, you got a point ;)

Ah nuts.
I was hoping the 6" coil over would come in frame-only.
I've got an '04 SX built up more for light freeride/whistler bike park use already.. I like the new design (But the poopy brown/black color is nasty)

Just curious as to what fork you are running.

I'm building mine up as a light freeride / swiss army bike as well.

Trailpimps? why?
I wanted something really burly and stiff and don't really care about the weight.
If I actually start winning I'll get get something light to race with.
