Perhaps for you, but in my neck of the woods at least Hayes are more than enough power and they don't fade on those long descents.
I believe there is such a thing as too much power, there's noithing I'd like more than to perhaps brush a branch and have it lock up my front wheel, moderation can be a good thing.
I've tried damn near every brake but the new Juicy's and none (I repeat) NONE have been as durable, reliable or fade free. You can argue all you want, but my tune ain't changing until I see them after at least 3 back to back - top to bottom runs (under an amateur rider) on Mount 7 in Golden.
If you can show me a brake that'll do that consistently, I may be convinced, till then, I'm out!
