Yeah, it's 7.75 according to all the reports I've seen, for whatever that's worth. Supposed to compete directly with the vp-free, which is 8" travel.

I wonder how long the wait will be on THIS model. Intense needs to make PRODUCTION bikes to sell. And quit teasing us with cool stuff that we MAY see next year... or not.

Yep I'm so looking into getting this frame. This fitted with either the Sherman of a Marzocchi 66 will be a sick ride, especially for riding around BC. Big enough to hit up Whistler, nimble enough for the North Shore. I'm saving already.

I rode that same or simular red framed Uzzi at Ibike on the DH trail. It was a fun machine, but didnt seem as plush as I thought it should, now in all fairness, the bike belongs to one of the Nicks at Intense and the same bike gets raced often, probably Big Bear. He told me the way its set that it will ramp up quickly for big hits. also it was springed a little light for me so he added some more air to the shock, (5th Ele) and if I were to have had a stiffer spring then less air would be needed making the ride plusher. The frok was never adjusted. I know that all that stuff can be changed anytime so I dont really have compaints there.
The one complaint I do have with the new Uzzi is that I hit the pedals all over the trail, it even had 165mm cranks, I kinda thought that was odd. One of my freinds took it on the short XC course that had a little fun desent and had the same problem and he weighs 30-40 pound lighter than I do. Is this frame designed with a low bottom bracket height?

Homeboy mechanic at the tent at demo-day said that the two red vpx bikes were prototypes with lower than normal bb heights and says the production model should solve any pedal hits. I rode the bike and liked it besides the pedal thing.

Question? Anyone think a 200mm fork on this rig would be ok? thinkin about a fox dh for it if i get one.

Why not just buy the SC VP Free? Isn't it cheaper?

:stupid:

Yeah, and they are actually selling them now too! About the only thing that I could see making someone want the intense is the 1.5 headtube. Other than that, the SC bike rules all over that thing. (IMO, of course, and I'm biased 'cuz I love my vp-free.) Maybe it's just me, I used to love intense bikes but recently (maybe it's just the vpp bikes) they look really cobbly and thrown together to me. I dunno, feels like they are coasting on rep and are now more flash than substance.

Better stand over height than a vp free. New fox shock on the rear. Much like the UZZI just better components. Yeah I know what I am talking about.

Other differences: The rear end, which can run 135 or 150 hubs depending on what dropouts you use. The seat tube, which is completely straight unlike the VPFree. The ride, which (IMHO, of course) which is a lot more snappier than the VPFree. I rode them both back to back, pretty extensively (both XC and DH) at iBike.

The dropouts seem to be the same as on the M3, right ?

everybody needs to stop all this crap about the VPX being some kind of a re-labelled VP-free. It's not.
There are various differences, as mentioned in previous posts. Yeah, they both use the VPP linkage, but as far as it gets in terms of similarities.

I'd put my (most of the time non-existent) cash on the SC though...

What do you mean? The same type of linkages mean it's the same bike. Just like every high single pivot is just a Bullit copy. Duh.
