I've always been impressed with Norco's, but honestly, the VPS design from a pure asthetics standpoint has always left something to be desired. I rode an 04 Shore and really liked it overall, but the monococque design--though updated--wasn't tops on my list of good looking bikes. Well, for 05, Norco is stepping it up and extending the design of the Team DH down to a few more freeride rigs:

The SIX will be mine! :D

We must have a different opinion on aestetics. The shore and a-line are almost as ugly as any of Balfa's bikes.

And whats with the new trend to **** brown from everycompany. Damn diarrhea looking bikes.

They do look kind of Balfa-ish... But hey, I had a 2Step and liked the looks of the 2Step DH.

I guess all I'm saying is that it's a good thing they are phasing out the monococque design. That thing was fugly. Their new designs are definitely worth looking at--and for the price--you can't beat em! Maybe the new Iron Horse line will be a little better price point, but we'll see.

The 05 Norco's are much improved!

Still not pretty, but a little better. Going away from the mono has probably cut down on the echo chamber effect too.

Nice bikes, wish there were more Norco dealers around here....

I personally think they look worse and much worse than a 2Step that's for sure They look super tall in the headtube. I mean look at the A-Line - WTF is up with that design? the cockpit looks tiny - it just looks weird as hell to me. They just look overly busy to me as well.

Man I was starting to dig Norcos last year - but these new frame designs look like crap in my eyes (your mileage may vary) - hopefully they work better than they look. Anyone know what the new Fluid frames are going to look like?

I still like the looks of the 2002 version of the Fluid very much - seems like if they kept that 2002 fluid frame design (beefier than the 2003s and 2004s) and paired it with a newer shock technology they'd have a kickin rig on their hands. Just my two cents.

Towing the party line.
They are horrible looking bikes. WOW.

Besides that, is it just me or do those front ends look RIDICULOUSLY high? Especially on the A line, the shore and the six?

Craptastical at best.

NORCAL is the hizzle
Yeah, never been a big fan and those are pretty fugly IMO.

I hope something's going on with the pics, like they squashed the margins or something. Otherwise they look steep, cramped, and tall.

I want to grab the wheels and pull them apart for longer top tubes, slacker head angles, and lower bars.

This review brought to you by the "pure-speculation-I-can-tell-how-it's-gonna-ride-from-a-pic" department. Thank you.

I think you must have to be Canadian to appreciate the beauty of those bikes :p
