Does anyone know if the new big hit (3) will be more of a freeride bike or more of a DH race bike ?
    Thanks

Its defenitly more of a FR bike. The Demo 8/9 are there DH bikes. That is what I would believe. I like the new Big Hits, but they are getting kinda pricey.

well i bet it is a "fr" bike but seriously what would affect its performance over a demo 8/9 besides geometry.

ya the new bighit rules, I talked to the specialized product manager and the bighit has the same exact geometry as the demo 8 except the bighit has a 1/2 degree steeper headtube but thats not really to noticable, now they have a 26" rear wheel, and the frame is a over a pound lighter than the demo 8 frame. And as far a price a complete bighit will cost around $1,700 probably the low model but still good parts.

Sweet. What about the Big Hit 3? Which I believe is the top model this year. The new frame looks nice too. No more weird ass tubing.
