Considering how killer that Revolt looks, no.Does it make me a bike geek I joined Rotorburn from California just to see that pic?
Here you go, re-uploaded to Photobucket.

nah, it hasnt been too big of a issue. the gap b/w the swingarm and seattube/"shock cage" is pretty small. thankfully there hasnt been too much crap getting in there for me.Anyone got one of these properly muddy yet? Was behind one in the lift line yesterday and noticed there's basically a huge, rearwards-facing basket around the shock and linkage area. Curious to see if it tends to fill up and create problems.

All that we've had here on the East Coast is mud this year! I've got about 15 total days of mud DH on my Revolt and so far so good. There's no real major collection that happens, but it's not the easiest to get 100% sparkly after a good day of riding. I usually take the shock out when I get home and clean it with a brush / simple green. It takes about 10 minutes but it's worth it in my opinion.Anyone got one of these properly muddy yet? I've heard of ONE cracking at the seat tube before the brace was added. The ensuing story of customer service from the Evil boys, and the speed with which the brace was incorperated into the next production run is enough to have kept the Revolt right at the top of my list of frames to consider for next year. Not to stir anything up but we're getting a few reports this side of the pond of these not standing up too well in whistler? Cracking at the seatube, then when that was reinforced creasing the downtube instead? Someone fancy putting my mind at rest.. I really don't want to take it off my list of possibles for 2010 but if the general impression here is they're all cracking (You can thank the Internet) then selling it will be impossible.
That's very good to hear, as long as the brace has been thoroughly thought out and not just slapped on! But there is also something about a rider receiving an already cracked frame for warranty replacement? (This appears to be coming from the people who ride with the guy by the way, not a friend of a friend of a friend etc). I would usually stay out of such forum banter but my potentially invested money is better on the cautious side.I've heard of ONE cracking at the seat tube before the brace was added. The swingarm is pretty stiff so it's a tight fit but nothing a little tug couldn't remedy. I just took out the bolts and pulled the swingarm directly rearward.how do you work the swingarm off? ive taken the main pivot bolts out and just briefly tried to take the swingarm off, but couldnt i tried for a minute or so and just put everything back together.
Funny how all of these issues are UK based only but no problems with any bikes that I have heard or seen in the US.Just wondering, ive heard a vast amount about issues with the suspension system and bucking? any input on this? it seems to be a seriously widespread issue here in the UK.
Oh yeah. I pushed down on the seat of a revolt and I woke up in another county. Massive bucker. Buyer beware.Just wondering, ive heard a vast amount about issues with the suspension system and bucking? any input on this? it seems to be a seriously widespread issue here in the UK.
That is definitely one of the more ridiculous things that I've read on the internet recently.Just wondering, ive heard a vast amount about issues with the suspension system and bucking? any input on this? it seems to be a seriously widespread issue here in the UK.
It wasn't gibberish. He asked a simple question about the potentially erratic behaviour of the rear end leading to a 'bucking' feeling more than one rider over here has reported. Not a personal dig at you, your purchase, Dave Weagle, Evil or otherwiselearn how to set up your suspension before posting gibberish on the internet
I heard someone say the same thing the other day. Apparently something to do with the amount of rate change ? Interesting but not definitive I'm sure.Rufus, i wouldnt be posting this if it was as simple as that, from what im hearing the suspension design is extremely erratic, all i asked was for some input for the problem.
