Is it difficult to swap out stanchions and install skf seals? Thinking about buying an used cheap fox40 and installing kashima tubes and skf seals...

couldnt be any easier. just follow their detailed instructions on their web site. you dont need a tool to install the seals like they talk about too

See if it fits your budget. The new Kashima stanchions aren't exactly cheap... And being it a 2009 fork, you'll most certainly end up doing a full rebuild, changing the bushings and servicing the cartridge... Unless you are getting it for stupid cheap money, I'd shoot for a used 2011 Kashima one.

And just one more thing: SKS is a rifle model. You are talking about SKF, the seals/bearings brand.
