Are those seriously the best tire? I need a good tire for a snow race myself. Any suggestions?

There are two schools of thought...cut through it with studs and narrow tires, or float over it with big fat tires and low volume. It depends on the depth of the snow and the conditions.

I've ridden gazzis in light snow and slick terrain and they were perfect. The iditarod riders use those 4" wide tires...

Then again, if you're riding deep snow and traction is the main concern and pedaling is not, then you might be better off with something that will cut through.

We'll see on the 25th, I suppose!
