A buddy picked up a used boxxer race, it's in decent condition, changed the oil, it has the updated internal bits, but after having it a month it's developed a click from the damper leg. Best I can isolate is when you compress and then immediately let the fork extend you get a click, but if you compress, hold for a second, then let the fork extend there is no click.

Would this be the sliver plate below the red plunger slapping shut? Any ideas why it developed after a month of use when it was a used fork to begin with?

SRAM didnt make the damper right, there is no wave washer, and its not quite to the right tolerance, therefore, that is your rebound damper moving in the stanchion. Mine need to go back for repair, and i need a new assembly anyway as mine has ceased to work and i wouldnt mind some rebound damping at some point in the near future..
