Well...my name is Eric and I'm addicted to DH bikes. Lol So I started the season on my 303rdh, rode a 951 and had to have one, and now, I walk into Go Ride the other day to pick up the parts to put my 303r back together and this sexy frame is sitting there. At $1600 who could say no! Really had no interest or care about the new Giant but in person it looks incredible. Static HA on this build is 65, BB height just a touch under 14.5. It will be interesting to see how it rides. I'm going to ride it tomorrow so I'll let you all know my impressions compared to the 951 and the 303r. Weight with steel spring 36.6 lbs. Not bad at all with full Saint components! My 951 and 303r were both in the 38-39 lb. range so they are no slouches either. One of these bikes has to go as I'm not dropping the coin to put the third together. The 951 is staying for sure as it's my favorite bike I've ever owned to this point. So we'll see how the Glory rides and it'll be between that and the Yeti getting sold. So kids, if your looking for a sick, low use dh frame for next season keep your eyes peeled as there will be a great deal for someone in the coming days. Build is all Saint components, 2010 Boxxer WC's yada, yada, yada.

Thanks man! It came out really, really nice looking I think. It's evil having a local bike shop that stocks this kind of stuff. It gets me every time. I'm a big impulse buyer obviously.

36,6lbs complete Glory!? Very nice result! :) It's way below stock weight...
No problem with frame/saint arms/e13 chain ring and LG1+ combo?

Can you tell us about the turning radius, other guy here said the new glory with boxxer had terrible turning radious cause of the fat headset area.

I think the Boxxer WC and the Deemax wheelset is the reason for the weight diff. That wheelset is quite light. No problems at all with the crank/chain guide set up.

ekripper, what about shifting performance? I mean, rear der cable goes through chainstay, so there are some tight turns, there... any issues?

Yup, was thinking of doing the same to mine - don't think it'd work out too well when running Sram though (old Glory frame)
it works fine, trust me. i run x9 shifter/derailluer set up thru the chainstay on my 09. no problems at all. ive been running it like that for over a year now.

and no i didnt drill out the frame, the holes were already there from stock.

This is a true story. The year I was their wrench we sat in the pits for about an hour, no lie trying to figure out the best way, and length to run the cables to get them to shift better (through all positions in the travel). We were having some ghost shifting issues on big G-outs with the cables ran on the top of the link like they come out of the box. What we came up with is simliair to what the new cable routing is like (but on the top of the downtube). I've run this setup on my older Glory with both Shimano, and SRAM setups and it shifts flawlessly. Much better than the older routing. No mods necessary just a few extra zipties.

I'll see if I can dig up any photos that I had taken of the old setup to show you.
