Yea, I reckon you're in the minority for sure!Am I the only one that thinks it looks pretty good?
Me too...Am I the only one that thinks it looks pretty good?
I think it makes some sense, the BB area is usually the naturally stiffest and strongest part of the bicycle, thus maybe saving some grams elsewhere in the frame by integrating the pivot there. And you could design the pivot bearings to rotate when pedaling, thus avoiding the common back-and-forth-only movement of the pivot bearings, most probably resulting in increased life of the bearings. But why the hell a concetric pivot point?
..... look at the 2015 demo Bikes - there is one bike missing!? This is the new SWorks DEMO: There is definitely some room for this bike, but I am not 100% sure if this will available in 2015, maybe some limited supadupa WC edition for 10k!Me likey.
Looks low and fast as fvck.
But why the hell a concetric pivot point?
Are the WC guys too succesful at the moment?
And what is going to happen with the 650b demo?
Where are the linkage guys? The main negative thing associated with the concentric pivot, the less than ideal axle path, is probably fixed with the funky looking linkages.
Interesting pointI think it's interesting that this is a new bike built by Derpalized in Carbon and they go with a straight downtube
DIY version
I tried but his nuts had too much deflection.
I've redlined my crotch before but there were no bikes in the room.
oh hai, what's going on in this thread?the secret of ghost shifting got revealed.
Less chainstayzz2015 Demo has finally been revealed...
Ugh, not enough caffeine in blood stream when I posted... Sorry to be late for the party.dozen posts late dawg
patent and protectability.Bikerumor says concentric bb looking forward to hearing more about why that is the way to go.
just you. resi extends up slightly past the frame mount.Less chainstayzz
Does that shock look longer than 9.5" or is it me?
they can't patent a concentric BB itself. been on the market too long from at least 3 other companies already.patent and protectability.
i dig it.Am I the only one that thinks it looks pretty good?
Rock Jeebus stoned?"It accelerates fast because of the [lack of] weight and the stiffness." Gwin says, "You can plant it and change directions really quick because of how your feet sit on the bike...there are not a lot of pivots so when you put force into the bike it reacts straight away."
burning bush, so probably peyoteI just read the article on Red Bull:

Rock Jeebus stoned?
from the perspective of a mechanic, it's AMAZINGGGGGOK, changed my mind again, yuck
no, but they might be able to finagle a bagel between horst and BB concentric. horst is doneskis, but a specific application of it might be protectable. Just like ABP or split pivot. Nothing new with a single pivot, but combining it right is protectable.they can't patent a concentric BB itself. been on the market too long from at least 3 other companies already.
