I have about 500km on my Zee/Deore mix without a hiccup. My local descents aren't very long, but on the other hand i'm a pussy and brake a lot.About 300km on my m8000 XT brakes and no issues so far.

I have the Praxis conversion BB. It was easy to install right the first time and so far is 104% free of creaks or BS.How 'bout them press-fit BBs and the aftermarket cottage industry dealing with that POS?
You have some? What u no like bout XT 8000 brakes?
I pained my BR M-785s black=M-8000s.What u no like bout XT 8000 brakes?
I really like the feel of those dimples on the lever, like the XTR's on the 8000 XT's. But I had to bleed rear brake right out of the box.
I know, right? The dropper post is the #1 thing up for replacement. Not so much for that, but because Specialized, external routing, kinda of loose and gets sticky in like 2 rides.Oh my god look at that disgusting bare aluminum cable tension adjuster!
I gotta go puke, be right back.
Wondered why my thomson came with a barrel adjuster... there's no need for it. Haven't needed it in the 3 previous seasons. Must be for n00bs or lazy mechanicsI know, right? Sounds awful. Did his bike explode when he back-pedaled?built di2 evil wreckoning for friend. so easy to install and set-up.
No, that's the new coaster brake... back pedal locks up the rear wheel - sweet!Sounds awful. Did his bike explode when he back-pedaled?
Did you bleed them? Is your rotor straight? I've been known to hand true mineIm unable to put brand new brake pads in my xo trails without them dragging....have to sand them down about 25%...aside from that they work awesome...
welp, I still have a set of 820s which are dialed, and after enough descents I find the 8000 a bit grabbier and (sometimes) inconsistent by comparison. I wouldn't fault the new XTs one their own and would choose them over the 785s.What u no like bout XT 8000 brakes?

Yes usually need a bleed with new pads. Rotors are strait. They don't just drag in one spot. The pistons are compressed as far as they will go and when the pads are new it rubs all the way around. Does it with both front and rear. My friends are the same. It's a small price to pay to not have to ride shimanosDid you bleed them? Is your rotor straight? I've been known to hand true mine
