I have no idea where I am
As much as I would like that prediction to come to fruition, I still believe that win or lose the election Trump is going to win anyway. Wether it's a new business venture (like Trump TV, orange tan-in-a-can), or instigating the rise of Fascism in the US, he will profit from this. And that will appease his thin ego.

We have not heard the last of Trump or his white supremacists supporters. Maybe it will all blow over with time, and they will be less vocal. But for now the only think coming to a close is the election. And even that Trump has threatened to derail.

Yeah, the problem is not the us goin down the drain, that fucktard is gonna drag everyone else down with you. :D
:bonk:
Don't worry, we'll let you guys be part of new America when we get it sorted out if you want.

Every time shit hits the fan we come through it a little stronger, last time it started to really fall apart we built the Hoover Damn and went on to win 2 World Wars, the one time it really really started melting down we ended up abolishing slavery.

Controversial opinion time. I actually like that Trump brought all this out. You can't fix a problem you're oblivious to. We seemed to think racisim was strictly limited to toothless southerners, and clearly it isn't. You are absolutely correct in that, it doesn't end tonight when the polls close, not by a long shot. We have at least 4 years of bitching, no matter how good or bad Hillary turns out to be. However, I hope that it sparks a bit of a reformation in US politics, where "moderate conservatives" start to distance themselves from the religious right and the white power assholes. The Country will thrive if centrists can ever gain control, and with the DNC clearly rejecting socialism and the RNC falling apart at the seams, there's a glimmer of hope for sanity to prevail and both parties to lose their extreme element. Maybe, just maybe, we can elect people interested in the good of the Nation, not just beating the other side.

That's assuming Hillary wins, if Trump wins, all bets are off.

You're forgetting two critical components of this equation. One, Fox News is an unrelenting voice of doom, gloom and fear mongering. Two, the GOP and their mouthpiece, have cultivated a generation of under educated dolts who not only lack the capability of critical thinking, but are proud of their ignorance. This is not a situation which can be remedied easily.

There was another article about how he has made money each time he's run (this is his 3rd or 4th run). His mob ties are stronger than ever, too.

Yes and Yes, but there are a whole lot of people who vote Republican, identify as Replublican and even a few who hold office as a Republican who are looking at their party right now and wondering WTF. Romney aint perfect, but he's a glimmer of hope IMHO. He lets his religious views influence his politics a bit much for my taste, but so do many of the Left, he also understands the destructive nature, and has called out Trump for supporting and encouraging racism. If somehow guys like him, McCain, Colin Powell etc could take the reigns of the GOP and recognize where they lose votes (socially liberal fiscal conservatives like me) things could really start looking up. McCain of all people knows how out of touch the GOP is, disallowing him to run with Lieberman because he's pro choice cost him the Presidency, and ultimately put us where we are today.

Is that a realistic outcome? No, probably not, but one can hope, right?

Um, nope. A significant difference between the two major parties is that the Left supports the separation of church and state where as the Right pushes a version of government that resembles a theocracy more than a democracy.
