You can use this chart to determine where you stand in terms of wealth compared to others in the US. (Should be a bit more useful than comparing only 401K accounts.)

The net worth includes all accounts (savings, investments, equity in the primary home, debt, etc)

Data was compiled from the 2016 US Treasury Data via:

----
The data is old, because it's Treasury data, but it's very interesting. The gap between 90% and 99% is wild. A median income earner at retirement age (65) has less money than a 90th percentile 30-34 year old.

Huge range there. 99th percentile trust fund kids are killing it at any age.

Fack...

<edit> I just hope I don't die in a horrible accident too soon, but retirement isn't an option at this point it seems. Yay.

Charted, ex-99% because it blows up the chart:

Tan is average wealth, peach is median. 90% and 99% really drag the avg way up.

Minivans are actually awesome. If Volvo buys back my unregisterable XC40 I might hang onto one of them (while the wife gets the other, new one). Two minivans.

also, what's the deal with the volvo? unregisterable?
Illinois dealer has been totally incompetent in getting proper and complete registration paperwork to the DMV. I leased it May 9. I have a temp tag that expires Sept 21 and no resolution in sight.
