Team Rumors is back. Or Ream Tumours. Sounds like Cam Cole will be back racing again this year as well according to the thread on Vital.
That one must be the long rumoured Hart to Madison Saracen.
Assuming that's a Saracen scimitar?
Cam Cole back? Hell Yeah!! He's a big lad. Wonder if he'll be aboard a wagon wheeler?
he'll be on these new 30" prototypes you all know are gonna happen someday*
*after sanitizing and motorwaying all the tracks
more guessing games going on, including some gwin/whitely/YT rumbles.
meh. that was only a latter of intent with YT.
From what I've heard, the YT Mob will continue. They are product testing, and from what I gather there will be different sized wheels to try out as well.
this what you're referring to?
Seen that, but no that's not the source.
In what can only be called thrilling news, there is confirmation that Aaron Gwin will ride a YT for the final year of his three year contract with the YT Mob, in a move that astonished and surprised approximately nobody.
I'll post it here too.
who would have thoughts red ballz' efforts to grow the sport would kill it off?
well we now have confirmation that the UCI is officially red bull's bitch.
Its a change, for better or worse who knows? But how many sports have juniors at the same events as the elite of the sport?
How many sports have juniors as closely competitive as the adults?
Whats the age cut off for juniors these days? it's not still 21 is it?
Nik Nestoroff is parting ways with Intense, possibly going to KHS? Is he a junior still?
Junior cutoff has always been 18, with racing age defined as of Dec. 31 of the event calendar year.
Eh? I thought ACC wasn't allowed to race Open Womens at the World Champs one year because she wasn't old enough despite being over 18 and went on to smoke the Junior Womens field instead. Buuuut I could be tripping.
rootsandrain says you're tripping. born in 77, been racing elite since 96.
I thought those mushrooms for breakfast tasted funny.
Mercedes as the title sponsor for UCI WC racing...
I think her Junior times would have placed her in 1st for Elite. If I remember right....
Targeting the dentites and monocle men of the mtb world I see.
that is correct - buy +6 seconds over leigh donovan. /waits for stik to come in and defend leigh/
Anne-Caroline CHAUSSON France 6:31.00 (1)
Leigh DONOVAN USA19711211 24 USA 6:37.63 (1)
Senior is 19 and over. but it's not as simple as that.
Age cut offs are based on the age you are at the start of the year and you stay in that age cat all year rather than move up on your birthday.
ie. if you're 17 at the start of the year you're a Jnr. If you turn 18 you'd not move up until the following year
I was at Worlds in '95 and I remember ACC's little fit. She was sulking on the podium, and almost didn't attend the ceremony, IIRC. (There was also an h-ball retirement party there, which my friends and I "snuck" into and drank lots of beer and ate lots of pizza).
Gary - I don't think that's how USA Cycling handles ages. I think it's the age as of Dec. 31 of the current year. In other words, if you're 19 at any point in a calendar year, you're a senior. Can anyone confirm?
in other news........ confirmed today that YT US ops / distribution will no longer be handled by Cam Zink, but he will still be sponsored by them for riding.
Some nail biting racing action to help hold us over till next season
Comet looked unbeatable. Lost the lead with a mistake and still managed to pull it back!
That's the same as I'm saying. Drink some beer and my words will make more sense. Not 'mercan beer tho.
It's a UCI rule so British cycling's ruling is the same as USA Cycling's, French Cycling... etc. etc.
