I'm in the middle as always which is frustrating given how much time I've spent on research. The only ones I've hit are Harrison and Seagrave but I think I'm bad at getting value for money here.

I was trying to play it sneaky and pick some of the riders other riders have said to watch out for (e.g. Frixtalon, Hrastnik). I also chose Loris as my anchor. none of this worked out.

Question: since the ladies are a sure thing, is that a better bet than the mens side? Like if you picked rach and tawnee, you'd get 1 and 2 almost every time. Or would you run out of Budget for any other points?

The top teams for this round had cheap ladies and 4 strong guys. Only 1 in the top10 had Tahnee. Though I think you would need to do some excel'ing since last year going for ladies worked well.

I totally got jacked by my women. Not in a good way. :D

Then FInn and Loris crash. I'm pretty sure I'm in last place...

Wouldn't it be nice if the "League" told you who was going to actually race the race? Don't they do that for football if someone is injured? IDK I don't play fantasy other than here or with the wife

They have one for injured (look for a little first aid kit), but not riders who are not racing due to other reasons

Hot damn maes goes 3 for 3.
Some of the pictures of his riding are just proper mental. Wish he was doing more WC DH this year, I think he would shake up the results.
3 in a row for Isabeau as well...and now back to DH
Is this the DH Fantasy League thread?! :D

In other news, Atherton beats Hart at Fort Bill... https://www.pinkbike.com/news/final-results-british-national-round-2-fort-william.html

I know it's not a WC race, but it's got to put him in the right mindset at least. There was some solid competition in attendance too. No word on where Tahnee was tho...

Maybe I shouldn't have ditched Gee from my fantasy

team.

Oh awesome, I can't wait for them to both go 5th and 15th, again.

Danny "But he won a race" Hart
and Gee "Was good in 2006" Atherton :D

as he gets closer to locking down the overall, i have a hunch that he may be more comfortable jumping into a DH race
I can't really see him doing anything that would compromise his ability to follow-through and seal the deal. I have to believe he's not the kind of rider who shows up and rides for fun; he seems like a true competitor that's only "in it to win it". I'd be surprised if he raced anything that didn't serve the goal of winning that title...

he's 3 for 3 winning right now, in a season of 8 races. he's starting to open up a points lead. if he continues at this pace he'll reach a point where he'll have the overall locked down where it mathematically won't be possible for another racer to claim the overall. Nino did that in XCO in i think '17.

so do we just back the locals or go with the form riders (with no big races since Maribor i can think of?)
There was a UK race in Ft William. Though it was a month ago. I've tried to value riders based on a few races but got lazy with my excel spreadsheet.

Those changing conditions and that drying bog slowed down 2 of my riders, then another one snapped the chain and I was screwed despite some serious excelling

I did well on the women's side, but apparently half my dudes didn't show. I didn't think I'd have to adjust it every race 30 seconds before the race...
