Pretty much everyone wrote Shurter off this year, seems like he was gunning for the big events. Just missed an Olympic medal, but got the "other" gold to make up for it.

turns out it is available live on RedBulltv in the UK (instead of the BBC with their dreadfuk comentary) dunno if this helps anyone else here. but watching from this link via VPN should ensure Warner commentary

Aside from having a horrible to navigate webshite I'm actually not blaming Redbull for this whole debacle. The whole geo-blocking thing is frustrating as fuck and the UCI should stipulate when they sell the rights that if the carrier who buys the "Championship" package elects to not televise any events then Redbull should be allowed to show it in that country.
I give Warner and Claudio crap sometimes but at least they know what they're talking about. The commentators we get here for the Worlds coverage on TV are awful sometimes.
Luckily according to my VPN software, I am now toodles-san from the land of the Rising Sun. Konichiwa!
I tested my VPN yesterday set to Japan and it worked, but I didn't check what commentary I got. I might have to try one of those countries to get Warner commentary.

Sorted. Had to delete all Redbull cookies, restart browser with VPN enabled (Sweden btw, nice meatballs, crappy furniture). Got access to Warner commentary XC replay so fingers crossed it works for the DH tonight.
Not sure if I can handle being Swedish tho. What if a reindeer attacks me.
The BBC are showing it live here with shit commentary (I asume as part of a UCI deal) and despite the Redbull.tv site and app showing the feeds and replays as "not avaiable due to geo pish" RedBull are actually still also showing it here. It doesn't seem to be available at all on their phone app (or consoles etc.) and there's no mention of how to watch it on their website.
I stumbled on the link to English comentary and UK availability from a pinkbike article.
I think you're meant to give them that chocolate laced with horrible crunchy almond caramel.
