Hi guys -
I'm trying to decide what hub to go with next. This will be going on a trailbike and will see LOTS of miles.
I want to keep it light, so I'm looking at King, Hadley, DT/Hugi FR or Hope.

(Anyone know the weight of the Marzo hub?)

I know that front hubs are fairly simple, but I also know that bearings can be a pain if they go out and are hard to source replacements.
Anyone have problems with any of the above hubs?

weights:
CK – 207g
DT FR – 190g
Hope Bulb – 200g
Hadley DH – 212g

thanks much

Hope Bulbs are great hub, can be quickly changed to QR if you need to in a pinch. Bearings have lasted several years of hard DHing and have never failed me. I sold my buddy a set of wheels with Big Un's that were 5 years old and the bearings were as good as new front & rear. The internals are the same between the Big Un and Bulb.

in a single wide, cooking meth...
I've had a Hadley 20 for about 3 years now with no real problems to speak of...The only wierd thing that's happened is when I recently switch from a BoXXer to a DC Shiver and the little cap on the hub kept backing off...Kept tightening it, but it would just loosen up again pretty quickly...So, a little dab of blue loctite, and voila - no more loose cap...Dunno why it was doing that, but the bearings are still perfect and spin super easy...

My Ringle works fine, but the non-XC rear hub (regular QR axle) has got to be more than 197g... those things aren't light. For the record though, my 20mm Ringle hub (front) works great, and I bought it used. I would use it over a Marz... that thing had problems over time and hard riding. The axle caps (or whatever you call those cone-shaped things that fit against the bearings over the ends of the axle) didnt' stay tight against the bearings (at least on my fork), and the hub was poorly designed, and as such, my rotor rubbed against said cone no matter what I did. I sold it and bought a Ringle, and am much happier with it. If I had it my way though, it would be King.

I forgot to mention that I bought new bearings for my Ringle when I got it. Woops. At least replacement bearings are only about $12 for the pair.
