Hey,

Just joined and am stoked...hopefully someone can help w/ my potentially general question....

I got a sweet deal on Mavic Crossmax XL wheel set but realized after the purchase that I would have to either sell or convert the front to a std quick release from a 20mm, does anybody have any suggestions?

Can this be done?

Does the new hub have to be Mavic?

Options for hubs?

so the wheel is the 20mm and the fork is the q/r? Or is it the other way around?

I'm not sure what all is involved, but those wheels can be run in either 20mm or 9mm QR. I would guess that you need some different endcaps to run the QR. The wheels were 'posed to come with both sets when they were sold new.

A decent shop should be able to get some from Mavic for you. I couldn't find any online, but I didn't look very hard.
