'kin nightmare frame to work on. (if neglected)
Looks to be a whole lot going on downstairs with it .this one is flawless and a handful of miles.

I did read that. It's always hard to take reviews and such being as most aren't used to a rearward path bike . I've been on them for years now..so it's hard to get a handle on their thoughts...

They consider a growing wheelbase hard to handle in tight stuff based on their bikes they have....which are likely not high pivot or rearward .

I base them against the Jedi and all the iterations before that as a baseline...I'm used to muscling a little to ride em and know speed is key...

Ryan Walters is a very fast rider. His review is here:

I think his daily driver is a Specialized Enduro...

Just keep an eye on play and sort it out with replacement bearings ASAP and you should be fine. Although with the linkage it can be more difficult to detect play early if you're not tuned into that. I'd guess you will be though.

I'm not really an electronic gears person, but on that thing I would be just so I didn't have to look at that routing.
Balfa did it better near 20yrs back.

I'd almost forgotten about the horrendous form before function cable/hose routing. Most modern high pivot designs seem to suffer pretty badly from this and the norco's are bad enough to consider downgrading to an electric derailleur. Routing on most of them could easily be improved with a drill, a few zipties and bit of ingenuity.

I think you got dudded, that Spesh would want to ride like a dream because it got properly fucking belted with the ugly stick at birth.
Isn't aesthetics No1 at Spesh?

I'm assuming it's an XL?
Yep...got lucky the guy wanted my V10 and these bikes were xl...
Not going back to smaller bikes anymore...when we didn't have a lot of options I dealt with it, now that we do I won't deal with it...

Aside of swapping cranks it's done till the shock, link and dh38 get here....I'll ride it this way till after the new year....

Oooooo just learned there's a race mode and tune, just set it up...AND I learned there's a inline chip that lets you crank up to 54mph...ooooo someone's gonna send it...

you'd still rather have the v10 tho, wouldn't you...c'mon, you know i'm right....
Nope...lmao not after crushing rocks and lines today...the V10 is fast and nimble. Amazing at how wide spread it's talent is...but the Norco just crushes rocks and I can push it in corners just fine...was killing it and hanging with 2 very fast guys on commencall supreme v5s ..

I prefer all out speed and hammering down stuff..

I did get kicked up in back and footing lost 3 times in nasty rocks..so I need to adjust comp a smidge and add rebound ..

The Norco fits my style alot better, everyone has there riding style and different habits...

Just under 38lbs with heavy casing tires alloy cranks and heavy spring.

3 min slower than the slash
1- saddle was WAY too low for climbing need to extend it (smoke checked quad heads bad)
2- gears skipping all over (new cable stretch)
3- haven't adjusted suspension yet, it's getting ohlins so haven't put a lot into it...

It will pedals as well as slash, out rides it in nasty stuff not even comparable..will come close to nomad pedalling , not as good but close.....

inner gear cables don't stretch.
outers and ferrules compress and seat.
Yes ..that!
Just pulled slack and then reset the barrel adjuster back..

Seat is now set, shifting is spot on and contemplating selling nomad now ..

Pedalling is a little harder than nomad, on par with slash and neither holds a candles ass chance against this thing on downhill, rocks and drops .

That last pic looks like you're about to ride a trail that is "found, not built"

Put a video up on Instagram...came in hot thought I had it with first roost but was still way too fast and dropped ass a second time right on the edge...

I was dicking around on a tuning run (not race pace) went high left didn't drop lugs
I know to drop that left hard and fast and throw weight for the right and go wide and to inside... that's where I went wrong dicking around like a school girl...lol was a good time...almost ate it off the drop screwing around.

.I've drifted that whole damn corner when we are running full speed..I wasn't focused on all out I was paying attention to details and handling while jibbing...tuned fork, doing the DH 38 next week and a new stack on rebound in shock.
