well, we still need to get a couple more . . . . .Transcend said:Naw, just breaking the team record for getting frames for next season. So far the record was Dec 24 last year. Now we have Aust something.
thanks. i was hoping you had weighed the tasty orange frame (10lbs?) i can read that you think a complete build will be less than 36 but was just wonderin if you weighed the frame.Transcend said:Nothing special.

Naw, no scale and a bit pressed for time as of late, sorry.dream4est said:thanks. i was hoping you had weighed the tasty orange frame (10lbs?) i can read that you think a complete build will be less than 36 but was just wonderin if you weighed the frame.
223 frames are well under 10lb, so the 224 is going to be in the mid 8lb range i figuredream4est said:thanks. i was hoping you had weighed the tasty orange frame (10lbs?) i can read that you think a complete build will be less than 36 but was just wonderin if you weighed the frame.
Wow, will Peaty's bike be even lighter? (Thinner tubing?) neaky:General Lee said:223 frames are well under, so the 224 is going to be in the mid 8lb range i figure
I think Peaty's bike is made of the same guage aluminum that PBR cans are made of. It's retarded.Red Bull said:Wow, will Peaty's bike be even lighter? (Thinner tubing?) neaky:
Peaty's 224 is the lightest DH bike I have ever picked up. And the build on it isn't even that light, though I guess the super light boxxer helps.Red Bull said:Wow, will Peaty's bike be even lighter? (Thinner tubing?) neaky:
Large 223 with Swinger 4 way, polished front end and stickers is 8.2 pounds. 223 with Fox 40s, Hadley/DT 6.1 wheels and X0/holzfeller drivetrain is 36.5 pounds. Thus, a 224 should easily get under 35 with an air shock.General Lee said:223 frames are well under, so the 224 is going to be in the mid 8lb range i figure

a few years back when he was racing in the US too, he had a race bike SRAM hauled around for him. It was heavy as ****. It was around 45 pounds and they said he only used his shaved down bike for World Cups.konabiker said:Peaty's 224 is the lightest DH bike I have ever picked up. don't forget to drill speed holes in your chain guide. actually, DW emailed me a mod that you'll be able to do to the 06 SRS to turn it into the lightweight one you see on HCor. All you have to do is mount the 1/4 of an E13 bashguard on the bottom of the backplate to make a skidplate.julian_dh said:im not just talking the air shock (1pound) im going tubeless so that will save 2 pounds and a lighter rim in the back about 300g or so plus cutting my seatpost which is full length should save a couple grams as well.
