hahaha - those are two TOTALLY separate races. Really. For short track you are redline THE ENTIRE race and never feel comfortable, whereas in a 12 or 24 you really NEVER want to redline and it's a steady effort. I guess at least you have base fitness for a short track if you are racing 12 and 24's.
Faster than someone who sits on a couch, yes, but I'd throw some high intensity training days into the mix if you want to be better prepared for the short track.
