Slacking at work
Back in Cali now, gettin ready to go for a ride with T-dog and ghostrider. We got 14th out of 97 teams in 4 person male. That category was tough. Fun race though! I only got 4 laps, a 1:12 (day), 1:21 (first of night double), 1:48 (second of night double, flat tire, camelbak wardrobe malfunction), 1:24 (sunrise lap). If douglas would have stepped up and done a :48 at the end I could have gone around again, he's such a slacker.

Met a bunch of new monkeys, mantispf2000, Reactor, Trainwreck, borrego kid to name a few.

Cant wait for next year!

Tucson, beatch!
I DID run and have blisters from my shoes to prove it. That first lap was a blast, though... especially jockeying for position climing up the Bitches.

Do any of you remember the website that posted the results? It is not part of EpicRides.com yet and I remember them saying they had WiFi on-site with results. It was something like 24.com or something.

anyone?

Well, as it stands now, $310 was raised for TCF and pre-school. That means each gets $155, and that's if there is no more donations received (I was told to email a few people so they could send something to me). That amount is just too cool. It's going to help a long way with either class projects or postage for the newsletters.

Heather had a bad crash and pulled a tendon in her foot and wasn't able to finish. :(

I talked to Echo & Ghostrider yesterday and they said the race was AWESOME! The Beast from the East decided to do double laps at night, but I think Echo said that Douglas' light didn't last for long enough so they mixed it up a little at the end.

It was good to finally meet a couple of RM's at a race. After the race I hung around a couple of more days and ran the course one more time. I ended up doing it faster without a race going on. I moved a little closer to Phoenix and will race again Saturday in the local race series. I cant see going north until it warms up a bit. When I left the Pueblo course I think there were two Solo SS riders still hanging out. Its supposed to be 80 degrees here by Sunday. AZ is an ok place to hang out-hope I dont get evicted from the State.:)

Hey All--

Don't recall if I already said this, that I lost/misplaced (who am I kidding- I lost it) my camcorder bag at 24/Pueblo. Well, just got an email from Epic, and they found it and will be shipping this week!!

With all the hooha going on, it sure made my day to hear from Todd that I didn't "lose" Alaina again. Just thought I'd post a feel-good memo.

Shawn

(Oh, by the way, the ride invite is temporarily suspended-- BIG SNOW STORM COMING IN!!!)
