I've got a buddy or two that want to race team. I've been wanting to try a solo 24 for a while, but don't think this is the right course for a first. The course is fun as sh!te though. I may wait for Old Pueblo next spring for the solo attempt.
I've done seven springs twice in the past as 4 man and 5 person coed.
I've never done Shenandoah 100 which is why I have the dilemna.
My description is that it's all downhill until the end.
That's not entirely accurate, but it sure feels like it to me when riding. It's fast and fun, rocky and off camber in spots. At the end of the lap, you have to ride straight up a 'ski run'. It's basically a road climb straight up. Totally rideable, but several people walk it as you get tired throughout the race. Once on top, you're back at the start/finish for a switch or another lap.
It's the best 24 hour course I've ridden. Others include Moab, Snowshoe and Old Pueblo.
