29er build ideas

Hey to all, new to the forum, and already loving it.

I am in the process of looking for a new bike, and am almost positive that a 29er is my way to go, and a single speed is another option I'm considering. I want to build a bike for under 1500, but would like it to be less, more along the lines of 1100-1200. I am fairly crafty kid who knows mechanical build, cars, dirt bikes, and cycles, and for a me a build is reasonable. I am starting of by looking into a frame, a soul cycle dillenger, q-ball, voodoo aizan, or something along those lines.

My question is about frames and how you go about buying one you can't really see in person. I am almost sure I would ride a large frame 19-20, but may be wrong as I have never rode a 29er. Also any ideas on other frames to sonsider?

Thanks for the time, Corey

I would give Scott Quiring a call and ask him about his Qballs and for sizing recommendations. I betcha he could even spec out a complete bike that would get you in that $1200 range!
