The Maxxis 29er Ignitor tires work well for Hard pack and med soil. They dont roll "super"fast but they corner great. Been working good for me all year, but i roll on 26's

for loose and rocky stuff I have been swoopin on my Kenda Klaws a great tuff tire, and for hard pack and fast trails I use Bontragers ACX, and if you want to suck wind there is always IRC notos......
