How many people are running 31.8 bar an stem combos?
Do you find it much stiffer than a reguler setup? Im thinking about getting a new setup on my new bike but I love my easton mag stem which isnt available in 31.8. Im currently running EA-70s.

i have it on my bb7 (fsa) and my norco5hun (funn cromo). probably overkill for my riding ability, but i crash all the time and it makes me feel better knowing that i have the biggest, stiffest bars i can get my hands on.

I have both; both feel very stiff and solid. I wouldn't bother if you like your current stem. I only have the 31.8 b/c the 1.5 stem I have on my HT came bored for oversize bars.

I switched from 25.4 Pro Tapers to 31.8 and I can feel the difference. So big of a difference that my fork now feels "noodly".

one of the biggest changes i noticed when i changing from a Planet-X bar and stem to a Diabolus set. A lot of weight gain though...

I've been running 31.8 for a while now, and when I get on friend's bikes, I can definitly feel the difference. Most of it is probably mental though, I just don't feel as secure looking down at some slim-jim size bars. Crashed plenty of times and its held up fine. 31.8 gets my vote fo shizzle.
