Morning hey!

Trying to figure out a different location for our yearly bike vacation. Taking a month off during trailbuilding season would require some tight planning.

BC seems obvious.

Coffee and reading things. Up early-ish for the Scrubby household - ended up on call last night, and never got called in! Bonus! Waiting to poop. And for it to warm up a bit outside. DSO is still sleeping. Will walk her after thos things occur. Then perhaps a ride.

Did a little work this morning. Will book those hours and take half a day off later this week.

I had what feels like the worst sleep of my life last night. I foresee a whole lot of doing nothing today.

If you decide to head south, easy enough to hit SW MT and Driggs area at the same time:

Flu, day 426. Moving into the lungs are full of pudding phase.
try using the Instant Pot next time instead
Hopefully my raging hardon goes down by tomorrow
this is bait for the no context thread. /me wags an appendage at sunringlerider

my day thus far: snuggles with snuggly middle child (45 min total including finishing the book we had been reading at bedtimes), then vacuuming and carpet cleaning the whole upstairs. we just had this done professionally a month or two back yet that machine sucked up a whole shitload of gunk in its tank. 3 smol children + 3 cats will do this to the carpet apparently

Went to look at the house I am trying to buy with the boys so they could see it too. Oldest teenager was out late so he was not fun to bring along. People living in the house has really stuffed it too much junk making the house feel cramped but I am a master at removing clutter. Legally required house inspection Tuesday and hopefully I have the report by week end. Finished off the day with some gym time and left over lets call it Mexican inspired food.

Rode a new to me DH bike at my local "freeride zone" for the first time to set it up. Rear brake was draggy (one stuck piston me thinks), so getting it up to speed on the rather flat hill was a bit of work. Jumped pretty good, but I need to set it up and get use to the plowability of a full DH bike again.
Man, I did not know how much I missed riding a full DH bike. I seriously need this in my life!

This morning has been a shitshow. During the warmup the kid who punted our teammate during the race and passed her in the last corner yesterday, spun on their second lap. She nailed him, bending her frame, tie-rod, and steering column.

Got it fixed before qualifying. She was holding 8th in Group B qualifying then on the last lap, two kids with a draft went a couple of hundredths faster.

For the pre-main, she lined up 22nd. Up to 20th on turn 1. Then worked up to 18th with four laps left, but got punted and spun in turn 1. Kid got a penalty, but she's likely going out in 25th for the main. To say that she is mad is an understatement.

She's working with our 100cc Sr. drivers a lot this weekend and it's showing. Her passing is getting good and aggressive. Her turn 1 on the first lap is starting to become a passing opportunity vs. survival/please don't spin (was yesterday pre-main). No matter how this weekend sorts out, she's going to be walking away a lot faster.

Main is at 2pm.

Spun the cranks everyday this week. 6 days outdoors and 1 day of trainer sessions. The deets  -

188.9 Miles
9792 cal
24.96 avg. mph
13028' elevation

Did not expect to pull a full week on the bike. Have to prop up the trainer, it gave 4 20min sessions in order to nudge cadence, torque, speed which added nearly 40miles and nearly doubled my avg mph.

Still looking for a flight to Florida.
