Thats nice!
bad new for you man, the weight that they saved in tubing, the roco made up for. not sure why, but thats what it seems on the posted weights on their web site. and i have weighted it against my 06 frame and it really accurate.with the new frame tubing they saved a bit more weight. We'll see what she comes in at after I get done with it.
Crazy. And theres room for you to drop a lot more weight (seat to an I-fly, Stem to E13, monkeylite bars). Here is my contribution:
2006 Ironhorse Sunday Elite, 36.44 lbs
Biggest weight savings come from the titanium spring, EX-1750 wheelset, and Gravity Lite cranks. For burlier race courses I add 2.5 rubber, which adds roughly 2 lbs to the total
Good suggestions. If you look close, the stem is an e13, and the I-fly is already in the mail. Hoping to upgrade to a USA made Sunday frame next year, I heard they are a pound lighter than the taiwanese versions.Crazy. thats crazy light. sweet bike!
Thats pretty much a stock sunday, minus the dh wheels. Nice build but the 1750s come stock on the sunday. Isnt the proclaimed weight around 39/40?Here is my contribution:

Just curious, theres alot of sundays coming in at 38/39 and they are similair builds.
Yes, the claimed weight on the Sunday World Cup is 39.2 lbs. But this is a different frame than that (heavier), so its still a bit of extra triming to get it down to 36. The '06 Elite came out of the box at 44+ lbs.Thats pretty much a stock sunday, minus the dh wheels. Nice build but the 1750s come stock on the sunday. Isnt the proclaimed weight around 39/40?

Just curious, seems a little light considering components. None the less a SWEET build!Yes, the claimed weight on the Sunday World Cup is 39.2 lbs. As for the wheels, they are an upgrade for this bike; the ex1750s only come stock on '07 Sunday World Cups.
Yeah seriously, any DH race builds should include dual ply 2.5 rubber.Single ply tires.....
I knew someone was going to call me on that. I am a firm believer in single-ply tires. In ten years of DH racing, I have yet to flat in a race run with them, and I attribute many podiums and wins to the performance gain they give. You have to be pretty smooth to pull it off, some of my friends have tried it with less-than-satisfactory results. But I will also admit, I don't think most of the courses around here are insanely rough.Yeah seriously, any DH race builds should include dual ply 2.5 rubber.
Over here, there's no real tracks where you could get away with singleply (and still run fast times / not flat), so that weight may as well be 38.44 to be comparable fairly.
i run single ply as well!I knew someone was going to call me on that. I am a firm believer in single-ply tires.
