MUHAHAHAHAHA!
Actually I am eyeballing it already, I like the idea of it cornering better. I have a hard time aceing the F1 though, it rocks through rough stuff better than any bike ive ridden to date. It lands phenominal off drops and graces the landings when flat, if the Jedi has all these and cornering Im on one in January. (as well as the new 888wc :D)
It is all that. It has more rearward than your 9" F1 and has 7.75" travel so if feels more nimble. And the 16.25" chainstay helps alot too. You should be able to get down below 38 if you do a build like your current F1.

my rig. 41.1 lbs

its got xt cranks, 9sp road cassette and ultgra RDs now. Next upgrade will be lighter wheelset (syncros DS28 & Hope Pro2) and Ti springs. That should get it to the desired sub 40 lbs mean machine I am looking for!!! Sweet!
i'm actually thinking i'll get some syncros ds28s on hopes as well, not sure when, but if i get a lighter wheelset at any point for DH, that'll be it. you'll love the rims for sure, my dps32s are super stiff and have yet to come noticeably out of true since i bought them 2 years ago.

I have used the syncros ds28 b4 and it has held up very well despite rock gardens and hard hits. its stayed true through out. Would not use it for fort bill type terrain tho'

My Socom finally hit 38lbs. I put the I9s, lighter tubes, and lighter 2 ply Intense DH tires. Here is a pic next to my other new toy that I picked up on Sat.

Hey Kanter, is that a Wrangler Unlimited? Those get good reviews for offroad stuff, although kinda janky on-road, what's that now like 5 vehicles? I guess BFG is making new mud-terrain tires and maybe all-terrains for 2008.

Also, that Intense is sick, hope you healed well from you injury!
