EDIT - removed to keep the place from getting too much attention.Homey said:It's beat, and there's only one good lane on it (it's a dual slalom track). The dirt is hard to work with when it's dry too. It was the place to go a few years ago when slalom was cool, which it still is in my opinion!
It was fun... but when I went up there after we dried out from last winters rain - someone had hacked it apart.Homey said:Yes. It's a good place...just needs lots of work. It's like the Sea Otter slalom coarse, really fast though and the jumps erode pretty fast.
Shun't you be in skool?Jonnyc said:That place is beat. Bob hill some other's an myself built that place yrs ago. I'd still be down to go out and get it running agian.
I'm local and would like to help. Send me a PM.Track is looking good. 1 line is open, berms are good, jumps need work, and second lane needs to be re-built. Rain all weekend so everything is looking up! The open line needs to be burned in after the rains and then it will be perfect. Jumps should be fixed after the rains too...when the dirt is soaked. The rains should be enough to get the track back to how it was around 02-03. Help is always appreciated!
That's what we used to do back in the day!It would be really cool if the kids who live here really wanted a sweet DS track. Being there is no place around. It would be really fun to show up and race your buddies for bragg'n rights.-Youngblood
I agree so if anyone wants to work on the place this Sunday Feb. 24th please PM me.This track is looking good w/ one line. 2nd line will be alot more work. Looks like kids on 20" BMX bikes are building lips on the jumps. I guess if you want to do tail whips and Back flips you need a lip. In my opinion, a DS track should have plenty of jumps, but the point is you can roll/pump/manual/single/double or triple ALL of them. DS is all about maintaining SPEED not tricks. It would be really cool if the kids who live here really wanted a sweet DS track. Being there is no place around. It would be really fun to show up and race your buddies for bragg'n rights.
Look at the SEA OTTER for design ideas.
