I'm looking for a new set of cranks, along the lines of what people use for 4X or dual. Right now I'm running a pair of 165mm V-Drives, and because they're so short, they have no torque, and low-rpm pedaling and acceleration is slow/hard as a result.

I need something in the 175mm+ range, aluminium ISIS, not super heavy. Could you recommend a crank?

The new Shimano Hones look good on paper anyway.
Made to be stronger than the new XT, only a little heavier,
and priced like LX.
They are LX.

The entire Hone Grupo is the same as the LX with the exception of Rear Derailer/Hub

Holy crap. I just checked this out.
Those cranks look identical except for the black on the Hones.
And they weigh the same as LX as well.
Shimano is marketing these cranks as being inbetween the saints and XT's in terms of strength. I wonder if that is true.
People are already using the new Xt's for DH racing, if the Hones are stronger and I know they are alot cheaper, it would seem like a good option.
