so 5th doesnt make a spring hard enough to take my weight on the banshee scream in the 8" setting. are there aftermarket springs for the 5th? if i get one, will i need to get the 5th revalved for that spring weight? and will progressive do it? and warranty it? my other option is getting a fox but i havent had the best experiences with them. and i gotta make up my mind by tomorrow or thrusday oh and any other shock really isnt an option here, as this bike is already more dough then i planned on it being

or i could use the 7inch setting with the 5th and be all set, but id much rather have 8" to even out the geometry

Call progressive and ask for Gerald. He is the best suspension tech around and should have a solution for you.

250, and trying to loose weight. yeah, the 650lb spring was the heaviest one they had availiable. i may just use it in the 7" position and use that as an incentive to loose more weight

I never bottomed my 650 lb spring so you might me okay. Have you tried it yet?

If you can't get one from progressive, check out http://www.pohlsprings.com/coil_springs.asp. I think they can do anything you want.
