My friend has an 800 lb spring for his fox RC, same bike, and he's about your size. He got it made by a place in portland.... I'll find the name out for ya.

Ok, he had a 900 lb spring that he got through banshee bikes, but that broke on this past weekend's ride (it snapped in half). BUT, you can get an 800 lb spring from www.universalcycles.com . It might not be listed on their website, but you can give them a call and ask them about it.

hey you cant use a spring over 650 lb/in because it will damage and over ride the "spv" dampening!!!

Do NOT get a spring over 650!!

i to have got a custom springs made by pohlsprings and their stuff is quality. you will have to get a different shock though. it really sucks i know but it is a limitation of the system. i ran into this limitation myself. turst me it is a really bad idea.

wow a 900 lb spring man thats a hefty spring there its kinda weird dont you think. i mean i guess you would need one that big but a friend of mine has a messed up linkage and needs one that big and he weighs about what you do. but the funny thing is that when he rides my sgs with the stock 400 lb spring he would only need to get like a 500 lb spring nothing near a 900lb spring. i mean i guess what im saying is that just seems ridiculous to me and that maybee you should check things out before you go and buy something of that size sorry for all the confusion above. but if thats what you need then thats what you need i was just intrigued by the 900lb spring and thought something couldve been wrong.

run the bike in 6" travel configuration? Less leverage ratio so it won't kill itself and it will mean you can use a lower spring rate (that you'd have to if you were running 8").

Even if you had the right spring rate, with 8" of travel and a 3.55:1 leverage rate, he'd still probably blow the shock...

im running the shock in the 7" position now. i can huck the bike somewhat, but setting the shock up that stiff kills the ride for anything else. i got the max preload, max compression, smallest air chamber and 170psi air (max). im picking up a used fox rc with a 800 lbs spring. will probably need a harder one soon. ill use the 5th for dhing and the fox for urban
