Ok here is the scenario.
I have a '04 ASX with a 5th on it. It has the 4 big bearings etc. I bought a DHX coil 8.5"x2.5" to replace my 5th. I took off my 5th and it measured 7.85" X???” I was like "weird" I went to fit my DHX and it doesn't fit??? It’s too long it seems, I don’t know. The part with the bearing is clearly hitting the seat tube even when arched. What’s your .02$

Also my bike is a size small which I can't see mattering?

01-03 yeti asx-fr is 7.88 x 2.25
04 yeti asx is 8.5 x 2.5

are you sure it is an 04?

pretty sure this was covered already over on bustedspoke. turns out he has an '03 or earlier, and he thought the hop-up kit (which is just a bearing upgrade) was a travel upgrade.
