6" to 8" on Manitou Black Elite?

Ok, all you mechanics, I want to put an 8" rotor up front. I know I need an adapter, but which one? Would it be this one? http://cambriabike.com/brakes/hayes_manitou_x-vert_dh_adaptor_2000_02.htm

Also, is there any benefit to using a "wavy" rotor vs. a regular one? Cause those wavy deals look pretty pimp.

Lastly, has anyone running the Hayes HFX9 ever lost/had the reservoir plug come off or had it otherwise removed while riding? Upon closer inspection, looks like one lame ass way to cover the bleed hole, since all it took was hand through some overgrowth while DHing.

I lost those little rubber covers more than a year ago, and I haven't had any problems.
Uh, nope. Put my left hand through some brush at the beginning of the run. Grab some front brake, and the lever is all wet. Huh? Stoped, looked down, squeezed the lever twice and each time a nice little squirt of oil goes shooting out!

Maybe I'm missing something, but it's the bleeder valve cover. So, without that, and if the bike is in a normal position, the fluid's going to come out.

NO 8" ROTOR
on this fork. you should never run 8" rotors on a q/r fork because they can rip the dropouts off. i hvae seen it done.
and as for the rotors the wavy ones just look cool that is all

Hey FWIW, it's been working great so far. I do notice more front to back flex in the fork itself though. It's also changed the balance of the front end due to the additional weight. So far so good....

However, I just got a new Fly and am looking to sell the Liquid, so it's going back to the stock setup.
