Just got a new set of 646's, they look awsome but i am wondering if it'll be worth it to buy their multiple postition release cleats. The last set of shimano's I had were the ones with the silver cage( cant remember the model #). I had standard cleats and got hurt a few times because of not being able to unclip. I found that if hopping up onto a ledge and not quite making the lip, if I was falling back and therefore pulling up on the pedal when trying to twist my foot out they wouldn't release. Regardless of what the tension setting was. will these different cleats be worth the few bucks?????

yes and no, they can release when you do not want them too because of their design. if you are doing pedal kicks(trials type move) they are prone to popping out, also on rough dh courses they also have a tendency to release without your intentions. i would stick with single release cleats
