Hi all
The steerer in my 66 RC2X is too short for my new frame. I'd like to replace it as it is only 50$ at my local MRZCHI dealer... only 50$ if you bring them only the crown with uppers and the steerer without the rest of the parts. They want additional 50$ if you give them a complete fork, so i decided to try to dissasemble it however... and here's the point:

I was servicing my numerous previous manitou forks, but 66 is my first encounter with MRZCHIs - so, is there anything I can break as long as I'm quite delicate? I heard that there are some problems when assembling the fork, my friend overscrewed something with the cartridge mounting and had to replace the whole cartridge.

Can any of U tell me at what point should I be careful??

Sorry, I couldn't find there anything more useful than what is extreme freeride or what is an upper leg ;) i got there the same tech manual as with the fork and warranty, Do u know any section where they write some service guides with dissassembling procedure like manitou or rockshox has in their manuals?
