O.K. I sold enough sh*t on Ebay to cover the price of the Avid 7" rotor / caliper combo in an auction with a Paypal balance.

Are the 8" rotors worth waiting until another one of my books sell?

FWIW: They will be going on a Manitou Sherman Firefly and a Craftworks FRM125 frame. If anyone knows of any better deals out there, feel free to chime in. :)

7" rotors should be fine. The only thing I have 8" rotors on is my DH bike. 7" should give you all the power and more you need, so no reason to pay more for power that you're not going to use. And if you were going to get hydros I wouldn't get the Jucy 7's, they haven't been out long enough and they cost a lot of money. If you wanted hydros pricepoint has XT disc for 65 a piece.
