So, im looking at buying the Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes, and I was just wondering if it would be ok to put 7" (180mm) rotars on my Kona Shred. I've heard that 8"ers (203mm) put too much twist or pressure on the fork, but I've also heard that the 7"ers (185mm) are perfect, because they are a bit inbetween. So it wouldn't strain the fork, but it would still be good for downhilling, and other rides full of friction.

I don't it will be a problem, except for frame clearance. But a DJ frame should be fine.

Also, I think Avid stopped making the 185mm rotor, just 180 now...
