INAUGURAL DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 29 AT

SEVEN SPRINGS MOUNTAIN RESORT

SEVEN SPRINGS, Pa. – Saturday, September 29, will mark the inaugural Foggy Goggle Downhill Race at Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Named after the renowned Foggy Goggle Lounge, which is located at the finish line, the event promises to be a low cost, low pressure downhill bike race on the Seven Springs’ fun flowing downhill trail.

“The trail, which is very fast, includes a bunch of berms, jumps and wooded sections,” said trail builder Scott Macklin. “You’d better be ready to get your sprint on – your lungs will be burning!”

Here’s the way the race will work: The race will be a time trial event, meaning everyone will race the course individually, not head-to-head. It will be an open format so competitors will all race in one class. Racing licenses are not required.

Everyone who purchases a bike park day pass for $20 will be able to compete in the race. The pass will allow you to ride the course as much as you would like between 11 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Timed runs begin at 3 p.m. The top finishers will win sweet prizes including bike park day passes, ski tickets for the 2007–2008 winter season, bike apparel and Seven Springs swag.

When the race is complete, the trail will reopen for recreational riding until 5 p.m. An awards ceremony and post event festivities will be held at the legendary Foggy Goggle. All registration will be done the day of the event when bike park passes are purchased. For more information on the event please call 814-352-7777, ext. 7757.

Shut up and ride...
Ahhh - Grand Daddy Know It All Has Spoken.
To everyone else - SEE YOU AT WISP!
Yeah, 'scuse me, your WAY to cool for me...

Grand Daddy Know It All has tried in a subtle way for you not to thread jack, especially when it is about another resort attempting to develope a program.

Since THAT does not work, I will tell you outright, chill it out.

To manhattanprjkt83, and all involved at Seven Springs, good luck! :thumb:
