What do you suppose would happen if I ran a 73mm BB instead of a 68mm BB. Actually, that's what I'm doing right now cause I need a really wide BB for my retarded cranks, and it's not the ones pictured in my signature. It's my temporary cranks until the Race Face gets warrantied, hopefully. It seems to be working fine...any thoughts. And if anyone has a BB spacer please PM me...I need one.

Nothing will really happen but a change in chainline. The cranks will be closer the the non drive side. Just throw in a couple spacers in the drive side cup. There is the advantage of enough length for an adjustable chainline with a non-adjustable bb through the use of the spacers.
Yep just get some spacers, as long as the spindle length is correct it should work. Shimano's XTR BB are all 73mm that use spacers for 68mm shells.
